The "Salzkammergut" contains 76 absolutely beautiful lakes  and is well known for many high mountains - the highest elevation is the famous "Dachstein" with 3000 m.

The lake "Attersee" is the biggest lake in Austria with a length of 19 km and has a perfect water quality.

Schoerfling is located on a small hill of  500 metres. It  is a  picturesque  small village and because of the favourable position - a very good starting point for  many excursions.

The lake "Attersee" is the biggest Austrian lake  and has since 1992 an excellent water quality  (length 18 km,  breadth 2,5 km , 179 m deep). The highest  mountain on the "Attersee" is almost 1800 m !

The street around the lake is 50 km long and is inviting to make an extensive bike-tour. In numerous public baths on the beaches you can enjoy the possibility to swim in clear, fresh water.

Comfortable and familiar,  so is our bourding-house presented - centrally located in the village,  but nevertheless  in a quiet area.

Modern comfortable rooms with shower/toilette, television and telephone.  A comfortable bar, a nice breakfast room,  a large  garden with playground for the children and a new created terrace  is waiting for you surrounded with green lawn.

We offer for  breakfast buffet ,  table tennis,  mountain bikes, refrigerator in the guest room,  parking place in front of the house and barbecues.

 Only  10 minutes to go there is  a riding farm,  surf school, harbour,  public baths  and the marvellous promenade on the lake.

As our heart is on the right position,  so  our region is situated in  our country :  in the middle of Austria,  and further in the middle of Europe.  Many famous towns, Salzburg, Linz or Wien are very close to us and can be reached by car or train very convenience.

Especially St. Wolfgang, Bad Ischl, Mondsee or Hallstadt are worth seeing.

Salzburg by night:

Spend a nice evening in Salzburg. Salzburg, is the capital city of  the district Salzburg,  It is situated almost in the middle of Austria. It is surrounded by three mountains and has a nice  old town with a very special flair. You can find there many historical monuments, churches, monasteries and imposing castles. The most important object of interest is of course the "Hohenfestung Salzburg". Situated on an elevation over the town you can view the whole charming city.  The famous "Getreidegasse" is in the middle of the old town with the house, where "Wolfgang-Amadeus Mozart" has been born.

Vienna Special

Route: Schoerfling - highway A1 - Linz - Amstetten - St.Poelten - Wien.
You can make a guided sightseeing -tour in the city . (Kaiserschloss Schoenbrunn, Hofburg, Oper, Karlskirche, Parlament, Rathaus, Burgtheater, Hundertwasserhaus und Prater)

The most important church in the city is the "Stephansdom".  A little outside of Vienna you have special restaurants with Vienna music "Heurigen mit Schrammelmusik".

Big "Salzkammergut-lakes excursion"

Route: Schoerfling - Traunsee - Gmunden (famous for theTV-serie "Hotel schloss Orth") - Traunkirchen (visit the famous  Fischerkanzel), along the Traunsees to Bad Ischl and to one of the important places from the Salzkammergut -  St.Wolfgang , Wolfgangsee (Weisses Roessl and  the church with the gotic "Pachler-altar" ) further along the  Wolfgangsee to St. Gilgen - the next stop at Mondsee and back  to Attersee

The"Grossglockner"

Route: Schoerfling - Mondsee - Salzburg - Bad Reichenhall - Lofer - Zell am See - Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse - Ferleiten - Fuscher Toerl (2.505 m) - Franz Josefs Hoehe (stop).  Glocknerhaus.  You can make a short walk . Back through the Salzachtal, past  Bischofshofen and Salzburg .
